Traveling the main channel and checking several of the side canyons over two days we did not see a boil—not one – That being said, one early morning we were out hiking the dry cut between Bullfrog and Halls. Of course coming over the top from Bullfrog looking into Halls a very large boil was going on in one of the coves—what’s one to do when your hiking and the boat is beached a good 30 minutes away in the wrong bay ? You turn around and get back to the boat knowing full well that the only boil in three days is not going to be there an hour later…. But we went anyway – No large boil but 4-5 surfacing fish in multiple coves near the back of Halls added an hour of excitement with top water lures – The stripers were extremely healthy and full of shad!
No LMB this trip but plenty of SMB to keep everyone occupied. Tried for about an hour with anchovies at the mouth of Lake Canyon – Nothing
