Great advice!!! I thought I was the only that knew about spooning. Just kidding.
This technique is the best way to catch stripers with the exception of a striper boil that stays up for an hour or more.
Can't wait for spoons to work lakewide.
I think I read about how to do this somewhere...maybe a book about Lake Powell. Thanks Wayne!

Awesome thx thebigcanoe for those tips! Kids wanted to ski last night, so I didn't get out. Gonna try for this afternoon / eve! Whatta great forum! Thx for all the help!

Headed down the lake to navajo saturday afternoon...wrong time to drive the boat there...was too choppy and at those sand bars, there were 6 or 7 houseboats and a bunch of ski boats...we had a great time viewing the canyon, but couldn't really fish very good, so we had to head back. I'm back at the office now working...with I were fishing. Thank you to all those who helped! We'll try again in Mid October when I can get back there.

Thanks!

You will find mid-October to be be much more pleasant for fishing, boating and enjoying the lake. Spooning for stripers will be the best technique. You will enjoy the calm water.

Ed, a while back you posted about using two different colors of Yamamoto shade shaped worms. I got some and the small mouth are killing them for me. I am running out of them so need to order again but the labels have rubbed off and I can't read them. I know one was the green laminate but can't remember the other. Help??
Thanks
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you but my internet has been down. In addition to the watermelon/green laminate I also like natural shad - color 306. Those two colors are really all you need at Powell.
