Hi all. New to the forum and new to Powell. Been there 2 times in late April and had a blast catching stripers on anchovies. Went for the first time yesterday in search of boils. Water temp was right at 70 at 0730 but by 1, it was up to 73. I understand it’s still a bit warm for stripers. I caught several small smallmouth and 1 nice fat striper. Saw a few small boils but couldn’t get to them in time as they were up and down fast. didn’t find what I was looking for until I was about to leave. Was about to go through the cut headed back to to the ramp and all hell broke loose for about 2-3 minutes. I couldn’t get turned around fast enough to get in on it but did see a few caught. I’ll be out there again next week sometime to try again and hopefully the water temp is a bit more conducive to boils.
