Busy weekend, boat traffic made the slurps a little tough to fish but they were still there and fun to chase! Did discover that not all the slurps were stripers, in one evening trip my daughters each foul hooked 2-2 1/2lb gizzard shad!! And if that wasn’t enough of i surprise I personally witnessed 2 stripers of about the same size caught from the top of the houseboat on kraft cheese slices as the kids were trying to get some blue gill bites! Not the hottest fishing with all the traffic and the stripers we did catch were about 50/50 on healthy enough to filet but we made a couple meals of them. Rattle traps worked well in the slurps.
