4"+ Shad in Striper Belly

My wife caught this Striper last Sunday morning. When filleting, the stomach had a unique shape, we had to take a look... she got to hit the counter again on this one, claiming a double!!

The rest of the stripers just had the usual Shad jelly made from seeming 1" to 1.5" Shad.

My guess is that for a few minutes of blazing glory that striper thought he was the baddest fish in the lake!

lol,
we talked about the same thing...thinking there is a life lesson here.

When your stomach is that full, may be prudent to keep your mouth closed.

I need to incorporate this into my eating habits :giggle:
