Great report! Glad you guys were able to get to the lake and enjoy some down time. We hope to catch up with you one of these days. The picture of your TJ at the ramp is a good one! I never noticed before, is that an electric winch on the front of your EZ loader?
Nope, good old hand crank.:(

Finally got everything put away and settled down. What a trip for April. We got to meet @viking842000 and after posting several times found out we had been talking outside our rooms before we made the WW connection! They caught a ton of fish this trip. I have met some of the best salt of the earth people from this site at the motel or on the water. We met @dallas massie with his fishing partners, I think one was Ross and I didn’t get the third ones name but I watched them catch a bunch of fish right to the side of us trolling with several walleyes that they kept holding up for us to see! 😁 Had the pleasure of meeting @Lance Cue on the water but didn’t get to talk to them much as we were all busy trying to catch fish and avoid me as I drifted right in front of them before I saw them! Sorry Lance. I did want to say that 4 poles trolling can creat some down time untangling lines, especially when you have several 4 pole hook ups at the same time. Us old folks are fun to watch!😂

Friday was the hot day for fishing as reported earlier. Saturday the wind blew and made it a little more difficult to fish. We ran down lake as far as cottonwood but had a hard time finding any schools that wanted to cooperate with us. We found a bunch in the iceberg area but they didn’t stick around long, we picked up about 45 for the day. We did catch 3 or 4 spooning but they weren’t wolf packing while we were there and we just never found the schools to spoon fish from. They are not on every shelf but when you find them you can catch fish. We caught walleye, SM and stripers
We were by the Escalante so we ran up to Gregory’s arch wondering if we will ever see it again in our life time, I hope I never do again but I know there are mixed feelings about that. The Escalante had the warmest temps of anywhere we went but there was a lot a junk in the water like logs, sticks and just junk. Sunday was the slowest for us and we still picked up 15 fat and healthy fish. All in all it was a great trip with long time friends and my GS. @greyhackle and Joe have always been great travel companions and a pleasure to be with if you enjoy laughter and good times and my GS is, well my GS and a huge help to me. The help and advice everyone gives on here is what makes this place special and the more people I meet in person the prouder I am to be a part of this group. Thanks to everyone who shares and helps us be better and more successful at LP.

I feel like we followed you around the whole time we were there lol. Every day I would see you guys at least twice! I would post a report but yours pretty much sums up what we experienced better than I could. We did find some especially willing fish around a shallow mound in the Rincon on Saturday. As far as you drifting in front of me on Sunday, I feel that was my fault. I saw you but was bs'n with my crew and one was standing in my view of you and I wasn't paying enough attention to notice you had drifted that far in until it was too late to go around, I was a bit embarrassed 🤦 I wanted to introduce myself and bs a bit but the fish were biting and wouldn't let me. I also tried to get ahold of you on the radio to apologize after you moved out and thought about cruising over and saying hello but we were past our cutoff time and had to get out to head home. I completely agree with you on these WW folks and look forward to meeting more.

I monitor 16 ,9, & 68 most of the time so please do get in touch with me next time! I would love a BS session with you! Dallas speaks very highly of you and I like to BS as you can tell! As for the near collision we can laugh about that when we get together. I hope we can connect down there this year and swap stories, good luck and thanks again. Tight Lines to you and your crew!

I had a great time meeting you guys , me and Lance meet up in Moki on Friday and figured out that Trolling was the answer . Then after reading your post and fishing with you Dworwood it really kicked off , for us my crew of Rush , and Jeba .we did really good for us .
My buddy Rush who hit a rock in March and lost both of his outdrives we got really lucky on getting his boat out on Sunday night . At the right perfect time , I brought a winch to get on the trailer but it floated right on the trailer. Ramp conditions where perfect. We held up Viking 842000 for about five minutes. I seen Viking 842000 at Halls on Saturday catching fish and thought he was using anchovies but he was spooning.
This site is the best Thank you Wayne Thank you Dorwood , Viking 842000 Lance Cue (zztop) and Choho975 who was camped by us at Stranton Creek . It was slow at first then it was a blast.
