Keeper of San Juan Secrets
Just received Boatingmag digital edition. Full article on Yamaha’s new, big wave runner that is touted as a fishing platform. Quite a machine that would work for touring, canyon exploring and fishing. Perfect houseboat addition. Oh to be young again!

As a crew member/passenger on the next generation’s boats rather than a captain, I can just ignore the sticker shock from today’s boats. The industry still comes up with new twists on watercraft and this one struck me as an interesting hybrid.
Better topic than complaining about the snowpack right now.

I'm not sure this craft is "for me", but a $30,000 price tag for a brand new water craft that seems fairly well equipped is (sadly) very affordable. Even a basic aluminum boat that is lower on the HP scale would be more.

And it drafts a lot less water than a regular boat. You could get WAY up north or the San Juan with much less drama in this one.

Definitely some advantages here...
