Wanted “Thru Hull Transducer”

Squirrel

Keeper of San Juan Secrets
Looking for a Humminbird “XP9WH” or "XPTH9HWMSIT" thru hull transducer to pair with my Helix 9 G4N. To clarify,, per Humminbird, the transducer supplied with the Helix 9 won’t show depth over 10 mph, I need to install a 2nd transducer to read depth at speed. Squirrel

That's one of the main reasons that I switched from Humminbird to Garmin.
I just bought a Garmin 12". If possible could you show where you mounted your transducer to get readings at speed?
I have a Lowrance now at bottom of boat level and it doesn't read at speed

I've had Humminbird, which hasn't worked at speedsc above 10 mph, and Lowrance, which has worked well above 20 mph, but my Garmin has worked at all speeds and depths except > 300 ft. It's located about a foot left of my 150 hp Mercury 4 stroke. I will add that since I've added my Sharrow prop, I have much less cavitation and now I have no issues at any depth with the Garmin.

Are you running it at bottom of boat level or below bottom of boat level?
