The Wahweap Launch ramp opened today at 7 AM. Boats on trailers were lined up from the top of the ramp back to the first intersection and then along Lakeshore Drive back towards Page. Once the ramp opened bow numbers were taken by NPS and AZ technicians. It took 45 minutes to get all the early boats through the check in process. It was very busy from 7-8 AM but settled down after 8. Here are some photos:

Understandable considering Antelope, Stateline and Lone Rock remain closed. Compresses traffic from 4 potential launch points into a single lane. Glad to hear it was organized and moving along, thank you NPS and AZGFD.

Thanks for the update Wayne, good to see things opening up again!

It's awesome to see it open. One more week and it'll be back to "normal"!

Looking at these photos, I must say the two weekends Amy and I had on the lake without the crowds sure were beautiful, and will be remembered for the rest of our lives.

There's nothing like a glass-smooth run up the channel at 8:00am on a late April morning!

The line up was pretty crazy. We got there about 6:40 and we were surprised that the end of the line at the time was close to the intersection of Wahweap and Lake Shore Dr. I suppose it shouldn’t have been that much if a surprise, in hindsight. It was really something to see. Everything went surprisingly quick and smooth once the line started moving at 7. Great day on the lake! I’m still green at it but thanks to Wayne’s tips we targeted SMB and were eventually able to find them and catch them with Yamamoto hula grubs. We visually saw a striper school under us at one point but they weren’t biting. I look forward to getting back!

Normalcy, pronounced "NOR-mal-see," is a state of being normal, usual, or expected. When something returns to a state of normalcy, it is returning to the way that it ought to be. It is another word for normality.

I'm feeling it and it's good for the sole.

We have scheduled to launch the houseboat on 27th. Hope see some of you on 1109191729a.jpgthe lake.
