The Death of Dangling Rope

This is worth 15 minutes of your time.

I agree after just watching it. I was not aware that the breakwater was moved to Antelope Pt. I went into Dangling Rope canyon, where the marina use to be, this past April, and again in October. Sad to see all that is gone, but with the lower water levels, I believe it would be tough to still have the facilities, back where they were.

Something that is debatable, but not what I’ve seen as the main complaint of the situation. The prevalent is the way NPS handled the whole issue. The marina never should have been damaged in the first place, and it appears repairing the marina would not have been a difficult proposition.

Don’t get me started on the irresponsibility of the new project at Antelope Point….

I did think it was interesting that DR had been the highest revenue gas station in Utah. I think I had heard that once before.

Excellent, yet sobering & maddening video. Is it just because I'm an old curmudgeon, or are most folks sick of govt as it is now, where everyone in it is in a CYA 'don't touch my pension' posture?

The video maker Mark is wonderfully detailed and a great researcher.......how else would we ever know this?

What impressed/depressed moi is 1) that breakwater should NEVER have been moved 2) then, it shoulda been moved back 3) the damage according to Mark wasn't all that bad 4) after million$ in renovation, the buildings are suddenly now 'dilapidated'??? 5) the NPS (that's really us lake users) get NO revenue from the Antelope point ramp? OMG....what a great deal....🙄

To use a term from the previous administration: 'C'mon man'.....😋

Your thoughts?
