A company named undercanvas.com has built a pretty impressive company with luxury camping experience. The tents look like they are made from Montana Canvas and they have decks and beds with pillows and sheets inside, wood stoves for heat, and even AC. The big base camp tent with huge decks serve lattes and croissants and more.


Spendy but a very special experience. They are all over the place including just South of Big Water at south lake.


Another fun luxury product at south lake is Aman resorts - hospitality at a level shared with The Mandarin Oriental, St Regis, Four Seasons, Peninsula, etc. Expect to pay for your privacy, they have packages over $50,000 per week… Maverick Rotor from Vegas sends their EC choppers to meet the private jets at KPGA to shuttle black card clients to the hotel, a 10 minute flight.


Dave, the best marina manager Wahweap has ever ever had, left about 10 years ago to join Aman. Aman also has swanky private piloted boats for their clients complete with support boats with lunch tables with white linens - they really like Face canyon at the narrows in the back on the right and Labyrinth.

If this is a new glamping site at the Bullfrog area, then it represents the most growth and improvement we've seen in a long time at that end. While it may feel like an unwelcome and unnecessary addition, it might mean that someone is willing to invest some money, which could lead to some other windfall benefits. I'm kinda hopeful (for the first time in a while), honestly.
