T Mobile

Put AT&T on your SUCKS list also. If your not within 1/2 mile of Bullfrog you are SOL. The only thing that works well from what I hear is Verizon. Sq

I had Verizon before T mobile and always had good service. I just never had the opportunity to use it around the Lake. If I had to make the choice it would be Verizon.

I found Verizon to work only around the immediate Bullfrog area, and spotty there. Text worked best at the on site campground most of the time, with voice calls possible at the hotel area. Better than nothing, I suppose. Sat phone would probably be the best bet; I think you can rent them short term.

At the south end Verizon works well.

AT&T has improved quite a bit over the past couple of years, have gotten signal intermittently in the main channel as far up as DR.

Sprint works for phone calls but not texting. No experience with T-Mobile so no comment there.

Wife and I switched over to StraightTalk which uses most everyone's towers. Hoping to get to Halls Crossing in April, and will give it a test and report.

Everyone's experience will be different since most of us have different phones. I have probably one of the cheapest smartphones you can buy and with Verizon I have texting for most of the main channel and voice part of that time. I brought a friend out with me 2 years ago and he had a samsung and also had Verizon but couldn't even get signal unless we where in bullfrog, halls or direct view of Navajo Mt. That's my 2¢ but it's probably not even worth that much.

Thanks. I agree a phone can make a difference.
