Ryan
Keeper of San Juan Secrets
I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff at the lake, but this one might just take the cake
Starting next Tuesday. Thinks he will do it in 10 days.Very ambitious plan, especially considering potential SJ croc and zombie encounters.
For those of us relics that don’t FB or Instagram…does he have date planned?
He is not the first one. A guy I new from working construction did it back in the 80sI could think off millions of other hobbies.
Shoot, I'll be on the lake Friday that week. I'll have to keep a lookout for him we'll be headed out of Bullfrog down to the Rincon area on Saturday. I suppose he'll be coming through there at about the same time. This is a crazy ambitious plan I wish him luck!Starting next Tuesday. Thinks he will do it in 10 days.
And don’t forget the very dangerous Sanjuanaconda.Very ambitious plan, especially considering potential SJ croc and zombie encounters.

It says he has a "safety crew". So I'm guessing there may be a boat following him, but he's doing the entire swim as if the safety crew isn't there. We pull out of Antelope on the 12th. I guess we could see him that day. But my money's against it. Am I reading this correctly that he's going to be swimming and pulling his supplies behind him with no boat escorting him? He'll be lucky to survive the main channel stretch between Padre and Antelope Point much less the maytag straits.
That makes more sense. It says he has a "safety crew". So I'm guessing there may be a boat following him, but he's doing the entire swim as if the safety crew isn't there.
I’m not sure I would assume much. He even mentions how much extra mileage it would be if he isn’t able to swim the most direct path (which I’m not even sure how you would find that when you’re swimming)? And I assume he's smart enough to not swim down the middle of the channels in tight areas......
My legs are cramping just sitting here reading this.
....and we assume you don't mean his 'safety crew' boat?I have a five spot that he is taken out by a boat.
Ahh, the good ol' days.Anybody remember when Jack Lalane swam from Alcatraz to Fisherman's Wharf while shackled, hand cuffed, and towing a 1,000 pound boat? He did that when he was 60 years old!
He could have swam from Hite to the dam while towing his chase boat!
So weird, I'm reading a novel where the main character talks about that exact story being an inspirational moment in his life and here we are, not 3 days later and I hear about it again. Never heard that story in my life before this week. Must have been something to see.Anybody remember when Jack Lalane swam from Alcatraz to Fisherman's Wharf while shackled, hand cuffed, and towing a 1,000 pound boat? He did that when he was 60 years old!
