My family is renting a houseboat for a week out of Bullfrog on May 29th- June 6th. We have done this before a couple times in 2014-2015 out of Wahweap, and had success catching Stripper,Sunfish/Bluegill and, LM and SM bass from the back of the house boat or from the shore around where we camped. But this trip I want spend a couple days on the power boat going to great fishing spots not accessible but house boat (we are also bringing a pair of kayaks for fishing expeditions). Any suggestions of spots or canyons, or tips about baits and setups that would help me catch fish is much appreciated. I would love to target Crappie and Stripped Bass preferably but tips for any species is great and will certainly be put to use. Thank you!

The canyons upstream from Bullfrog have lots of options. Cedar and Knowles are good as are 2-mile, 4 mile and Ticaboo. So far smallmouth baits are best according to reports last week. We will see what happens this week. LMBass and crappie will be near brush. Smallmouth near rocks along the shore. Stripers will occasionally show up in the very back of a canyon trapping shad against structure. Use plastic worm baits around rock and boulders. Troll occasionally for walleye on 15 foot deep, flat structure with baits that run about 12 feet deep.
There is lots to learn! Catch a fish and repeat the technique. It will work out well.

Thank you Wayne, I have been reading into it and even watched some fishing you did on youtube. I will make sure to stay updated with this website, I think it is a great way to interact with other anglers on the lake.
