We fished for stripers right near the chains/dam. My dad and I made a quick trip down and fished on April 14th, 2019 just off the shore. During the first 20 min we had nothing.... Then all of a sudden every cast boom, boom, boom. Fish after fish for about 45min. I couldn’t unhook them fast enough and get my bait in the water before we had another one on. Then fishing automatically shut off. We did not get another bite for the rest of the day. We must have hit a passing school. We used whole anchovies as bait with no weight. We had a great time and filled the cooler. Best fishing was at 11am for us.
