Anyone know? I have a houseboat in the slip at Antelope (my share is for sale if anyone is interested Lake Powell House Boat 1/8th Share- 3 weeks per share PRICE REDUCED...) and I want to go work on some stuff next week on the 11th, and I want to launch my bass boat and fish after "work" using the valet service since the ramps will be closed. I have the receipt for storage. I have tried calling but get nowhere. Anyone know if I am wasting my time getting the bass boat out of storage?

I don't believe the valet service is operational, only self launch at Wahweap on weekends. Read Chris McBeths thread in Anglers Corner here
(Local Boater Thread),he talks about the process of registering with the AZGFD local boater program. Here is a direct link to the AZGFD local boater website: AZGFD Local Boater. Based on the most recent announcement Wahweap will have one more weekend of day use only operation. Then starting the 15th should go to 24-7 access. I would assume that if you showed up on the 10th before 8pm they would let you on for the duration of the week, but I've been making incorrect assumptions about this thing from the start. You wouldn't be able to get off the water till the 15th though. Good Luck.

Thanks. I will give that number a try. Thanks to whoever moved this to the correct forum too.

I just hung up with Michelle at Antelope point executive services. She informed me that since I have a houseboat is in a slip with them, I can use their ramp, meeting their conditions. However, even if I get my boat in the water, she said the Lake is closed. So, I am not allowed to use the Lake once my own boat is on the water, until the 15th. She said that rangers are out patrolling the Lake. This makes no sense to me.

Just hung up with Mark form the Glen Canyon national park service. He confirmed what Michelle told me that the sheriff will be out patrolling the lake and fine those that are camping, recreating and such if not in their permitted time frames. Even if your boat is in the water and you dont need the ramp, the lake is closed. This seems so backwards to me. Lets make everyone comply to social distancing rules by making them all use the same ramps all at the same time. Lets all go up there and "storm the castle". They cant fine all of us. Its crazy to close a place that allows for perfect social distancing.

We are also in Antelope and our week is the 23rd of this month through the 30th. The houseboat is in dry storage at Antelope so I don't see an issue getting the houseboat in the water for the week, but our wakeboat is down here in Phx. After the 15th are all boats welcome on the lake? or is it still only the local boater program. We have the year Glen Canyon sticker on the boat if it matters.

RYC, I'm interested in what the ramp situation is there as i am leaving for APM on Tuesday. I was told that the Valet ramp is closed unless your boat is in dry storage with APM. So the only option is to Launch at Wahweep and boat over. I hope you have a great trip

I’ve been at antelope for the last few days and the valet service was not available nor was the public launch ramp. We had to put our speed boat in Wahweep and drive over, even though we have a slip for them. Even with it being the 15th I don’t believe it is open, as we still have to launch our ski boat and they are telling us to go to Wahweep.

How long of a boat drive is it between Wahweap and APM? My rig is going to be full of stuff (some of which can blow away) so I'll probably have to back off the throttle.

It is about 5 miles (maybe 6) from Wahweap to APM. The shortest way is to head toward the dam from Wahweap and then turn left at Buoy 1 in the main channel before reaching the dam.

Yup, its not open. I called at the beginning of the week and they said I could pay and they would launch the boat for me since I had a private house boat with them in the slip. I guess just before I got there Thursday at about noon, 45 min before the valet slip was running, the restaurant and little store were getting ready to open and they got shut down. According to the cart services gentleman. Had to go the the zoo at Wahweep and launch to get down to the houseboat with my bass boat.

are they still running the shuttle up and down the ramps? I saw something about reduced hours, but don't know if that's shutdown now too? I have a slip with them over next weekend, but it's not worth it if the shuttle cart isn't running ;)

They are still running the cart services. I didnt notice any reduced hours or services with that. Seemed like they were running all night. There were alot of people hanging out on the houseboats in the slips.
