Smoked Striper?

Any one ever smoke Striper? (insert "its hard to keep them lit" joke here). I have a pellet smoker that ive done salmon and trout on but not sure how a white fish would turn out.
 
Yes, I brine my salmon over nite. I only brine my stripers for a couple of hours. It comes out great, but use a less intense smoke flavor like apple or maple. It can be pretty bitter with mesquite. I have recently started canning my smoke stripes and make striper patties with them.
 
White flesh tends to brine more readily than oily fish, like salmon and lake trout. We usually dilute our salmon brine a bit and shorten the soak time too.
