Keeper of San Juan Secrets
Well, since nobody's on the lake, and everyone wishes they were on it, and we're all going crazy at home washing our hands, growing beards and skipping showers, I thought I'd let everyone in on a vicarious journey on the lake. And it would be great to read yours too!
The link below leads you to the story of my 2008 trip, one of many such stories in the archives. Why 2008? And not 2011? or 2003? Or...or... Well, you have to start somewhere... This one sort of gives you a pretty good feel for how most of my trips go--a little of this, a little of that, pretty much everything except...fish (!). Somehow in that week we managed multiple hikes from White Canyon, Smith Fork, the top of Tapestry Wall, the top of the Rincon, to Willow Gulch... not sure how..
Just an early warning--it's 38 pages long, so take bathroom breaks... hope it brings you back to the lake for about an hour...
