Back in 1980, I was offered a cowboying job on one of the ranches bordering Powell. According to the rancher, If we would have had school age kids at the time they would ride the ferry to school. ( It’s been almost 40 years so I can’t remember all of the details now) It seems that the ranch was on the east side of the lake and at one time had been part of the original Scorup/Somerville outfit. So my question to those out there: How long did the ferry transport kids to school? Where did they go to school? And where do school age kids from the Hall’s side or Bullfrog go now?
