We decided that we were ripped off for our spring break because of the horrible weather. We decide to extend the trip a couple of days. We still had some gas and plenty of food. Today was perfect. It rivaled one of the best days ever at Powell. There was no “W” word today. We caught fish everywhere. We packed up this morning and decided to fish our way to Rainbow Bridge. We caught fish in every cove we stopped in. It was the grandest slam as we caught largemouths, smallies, walleye, cats, crappie, bluegill, green sunfish, and stripers. My boy caught every species himself today alone. It was one for the record books.

I agree, you guys killed it! The SJ is magical in so many ways. I went north one day, fished in the wind Saturday and tested that special prop all morning today. I will post a report in the next day or so, I just got things put away and I’m getting old, I’m done for the day! Thanks for sharing, it looks like a perfect trip, at least the last half! And wow those are some nice fish.

Thanks, I’ve got a boat in Ketchikan Alaska and the first few days of the trip felt like we were in Alaska. We put plenty of fish in the cooler, but had to work real hard for them. We were rewarded handsomely yesterday for our persistence.

I don’t know where you get the idea I could show you how it’s done. I’m usually the good example of a bad example . You guys had a good trip, it is funny how one or two good days after several bad can turn a whole trip around.

Good call staying an extra couple days! Those times at Lake Powell when all the fish turn on are fantastic. Down the road, you will forget about the cold, slow days and clearly remember the wide open good times!

Its power and energy consumption are amazing. I still like the handheld remote controls better from my Minn Kota ulterra. I forgot how much I enjoyed the self deploy feature. I just bought the wireless foot control. I think it will help close the gap from my Minn Kota.
