Made a quick blue notch trip, arrived on shore around 1am Tuesday night/Wednesday morning the 3rd/4th. Brought the inflatable kayak so didn't have much area to fish, ended up getting on the water around 10am Wednesday morning after rigging everything up. Just paddled/fished around red canyon. Only caught one striper Wednesday. Ran into 'inseminator' mid afternoon in his lund, about the same results sounded like from them. We talked some strategy as he mentioned in his post and went about fishing. Got on the water earlier Thursday, fished same areas in Red, same results, one striper. Decided to go to the back of red early afternoon, where I've had success in the past this time of year. Water was more stained and shallow. Started casting shallow running xrap and Bam, it was on. 40-50 yards from shore, every drift was a fish. FAT hard hitting stripers. Ended up with 18 that afternoon, 19 total for the trip, all stripers. Tried targeting walleye but could not find any. Cleaned up the fish, packed everything up and made the drive out that night. Inseminator, it was great meeting you and your buddy, I love being able to bounce info off of other folks, especially on this sight!

Just curious how the road condition was driving in! Thinking about attempting to pull a light weight kayak trailer behind a Ford F-150 for the first time to Blue Notch! TIA!

The road in was fine, just takes a while. I wasn't pulling anything and it still took an hour plus. You'll be fine pulling a small trailer in, it'll just take a while, I'd plan on an hour and a half once you get off the highway. It's 13 miles to the shore from there. You'll just have to take it slow on all of the dry creek bed crossings and a few other rough spots
