I have some work to do in Page this week, Thursday - Saturday. I have only fished at Powell April - early October when its still warm. I have a bass boat and will have it with me. I would like to target Bass, all varieties, but have no idea as where or how to fish Powell when its cold. Any tips?

I fished Powell (North End) in November a few years back. It was tough fishing. We made long runs to where we thought the fish should be. But they didn't want to cooperate. On the last evening, I fished under the lights on the dock. And caught a ton of strippers. I hope you have a great trip.

I read lots of reports similar to this. I guess I just have bad luck, and have never experienced this. Maybe I should invest in a light? Maybe a disco ball? Some day.....

....until then, I guess I'll just keep fishing for stripers and hope for my luck to change.

Some of my very best fishing trips have been at Hite over the Thanksgiving weekend. Fill the cooler in the morning, filet, fill the cooler in the afternoon and filet again.

This year sounds tough because of the abundance of shad so we'll have to see.

Trolling in Striper City area and spooning (sometimes) and even the occasional boil.

I have a 4' LED green light. And there have been times it works great. And times it won't bring anything in. The trip I am referring to, I just fished under the lights near the bathrooms on the Bullfrog dock.

hmmmm.....If it's the bathrooms [lights] bringing in those strippers, then maybe I'd rather not....

...I better just stick with the stripers and avoid any trouble.
