Not Lake Powell...Birthday fun!

It's been over 15 years since I've not spent my birthday at "The Lake". Sure did miss it!! So, I have some close friends that have ownership in a private reservoir that has really good bass fishing. After a few calls to the big kids, we made a picnic/fishing plan. Still not Lake Powell, but the best way to spend a birthday. Thought I would post some pictures from the day.

Always wanted to fish that pond, but never could get permission. It's only 10 minutes from my house. Supposedly there are some big crappies in there? Good to see some one out fishing.

Thought so - any chance that is "Baxter Pond"?? About 2 acres on the west side of the hiway???Used to do dive training there!!

That is correct. It is Baxter. Haven't fished it for several years now, but it's always fun and a great place to take the kids. It was lower than I expected and I did see a couple of "winter kill" crappie on the bank. Probably 12" fish at least, was wishing I had a boat then.
