Has anyone been up to Good Hope Bay to see if the water is clearing up yet? Any idea how long it takes for the water to clear now that the run off is slowing down?

I would like to know as well. My guess is that it is about 1' of visibility now and will be 2' in 2 weeks. I hope so, I'm going around the first of August. Two to Three feet of visibility should be clear enough for them to start boiling. I'm getting excited just talking about going!

From the pictures in the post about slurps on Tapestry wall the water color looks really good. If its that clear up in GHB it should get fired up here shortly! Don't know why it's so hard to get some one to tell us how clear the water is? Put on a white bait, lower your rod tip to the to water level, drop your bait till you can't see it any more, slowly real it up till you can barely see it. stop reeling, lift your pole up and estimate the length of line between the rod tip and the bait. From the pictures mentioned previously I'd guess about 2.5 to 3'. No where near 10'

Thanks everyone. My family is "making" me go to Wahweap to play this week, and it is killing me not to be in the Good Hope Bay area fishing. I just love that part of the world and I've been hanging on waiting for the water to clear. Maybe next week or two I'll make it! I guess I'll have to learn where to fish in the southern lake..... Life is rough.
