North Lake Walleye

We just spent 2 great days on the Lake. Weather was cool in the mornings but nice in the afternoons (I'm an ice fisherman too). Targeting walleye was our goal and we did pretty well. In 2 days we boated 35 that were between 1.5-4lbs. We also caught as many stripers as we wanted, most were fat and healthy. The 1st picture shows our first days walleye catch,we also caught some crappie. One looked like it had a curious bite mark on its back.

I didn't mention that in the 2 days we fished we only saw 2 boats on the water including launching and traveling up to GoodHope. In talking to Dallas Massie at the boat ramp he said there was someone in Blue Notch fishing from a kayak. We have a place in Ticaboo to stay each night instead of camping.

Sounds a little easier than sleeping underneath the stars which is what we did we made it work but a warm hotel with a warm shower sure sounds good

What was the water temp at when you were there?

It looks like an otter got after that crappie, that or a piranha. I'm going with piranha.:ROFLMAO:
I was actually bitten by a piranha in my youth. My older brother and I each had one in our respective aquariums. Mine got a wild fin one night and somehow wound up on the floor. I woke up, saw it flopping around on the carpet and attempted to pick it up. Then I used my net to pick it up and just when it reached the top of the tank, it fell through. He perished soon after and the scar is still visible at the base of my middle finger.

Jim @last wild human is up in Blue Notch till Sunday . When I went to go see him on Friday I hit a beach in front of Blue Notch and my neutral safety switch went out on my outboard . I could go only 4 mph . Looked like like I was going to have to stay with Jim , who is parked up where the road is closed . I got the Starlink to work and unhooked the switch. @bigfish1 when I saw you on Saturday night that was a wicked wind , if they didnt have the dock at the Marina Ramp , I would of had to leave my boat on the slips.
I only got to fish about for 1/2 hour on the first and second day . We picked up some Crappie near Bullfrog and fished the island off of Moki , seen big schools of stripers but only got about 10 in 2 days. It was nice seeing you on Saturday , we where the last ones off the lake.
