I have my fishing boat in my houseboat slip at Bullfrog and called NPS to see if I can take it out on the lake. She told me to call Arizona DNR which makes no sense. I called exec services and asked them as I couldn't reach anyone with NPS at BF and they said it was ok. Does anyone have the real answer or have a way to contact someone at NPS at BF? Thanks,

This from the FAQ:

Question: What about boats stored in slips and buoy fields at the marinas throughout Glen Canyon National Recreation Area?
During this limited opening for day use boating on Lake Powell during Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, vessels currently stored in slips or buoy fields throughout Glen Canyon National Recreation Area may also voyage throughout Lake Powell. Please be advised that limited visitor services will be available on the lake during these day use openings. Boaters on the lake should be prepared to pack out all trash and dispose of it properly after their day on the lake.

I've been asking NPS about the plans for Bullfrog launch ramp and they claim that their hands are tied, but I've never been able to reach someone stationed at BF. The Utah Governor seems to be on board so I don't know what's holding it up. I'm fine with limited services so all can go down with that expectation, but I don't see the rationale to keep it closed. If it's due to decontamination: register, clean, drain, dry.

If mussel control is the guise they hide behind I’ll be sorely disappointed as other areas in Utah have inspection stations open already. Plus as you stated, people can self Decon as they already rely on the honor system anyway, plus the middle aware online program. Just open up.

Its OK ,Please go fishing !!Tell us how it is, If you need someone to go with you I can be there in 5 Hours .
My house boat is in a slip and my fishing boat is in dry storage, sucks for me !!
Have a great weekend !

Word straight from the guvment employee today:
Bullfrog soft opening next weekend for Bullfrog drydocked boats. Not sure about offshore docked boats.
Full opening the following weekend if y’all mind your ps and qs.
Aramark will launch your boat now but it cannot come out of the water. It must be slipped. And you must be in off the lake by 7pm or go to bed hungry.

UT DWR Decon station is not manned BUT there is Stop Here For Inspection sign at the exec ramp.
So maybe we won’t have to drive over to the main Decon for inspection.

I think from now I’m gonna pay a “soft” tax on my boat and park fees.

Sorry guys, I'm going to head down in the morning from Junction with a buddy and come back Sunday night. let you know how everything works out. Was going to wait to launch my houseboat on Tuesday but Offshore called me and told me I got bumped to a week from Monday by Exec Services and/or NPS which is controlling how many houseboats are being launched. Sounds like Aramark is getting preferred times. Don

Big Canoe, my buddy just backed out on me. I should be at slip N14 by around 10 if you'd like to fish. Have room in the back for 1. i have some work to do on my houseboat at Offshore so may not stay out all day. Text me at 9703792427 in the morning if you are going to join me
