Received the same email today also.I received this email today, from my read it applies to houseboats as well as recreational boats Unless you stay 100% in waters on the AZ side

Pay know and save $5Looks like the registration site hasn’t been updated, it still shows the $20 fee
I am fine with the sticker, if it goes towards more AIS enforcement In Utah. But I already paid the $20 fee just a couple months ago for this year. They did not provide or require a sticker. Are we supposed to now pay another $25 to get the sticker too?Looks like the registration site hasn’t been updated, it still shows the $20 fee
I'm wondering the same thing. Or are we good till December?I am fine with the sticker, if it goes towards more AIS enforcement In Utah. But I already paid the $20 fee just a couple months ago for this year. Are we supposed to now get the sticker too?
My question exactly. My guess, we don’t get credit for the $20 already paid this year, but I’m hoping. I’m going to wait until Monday and check the site againI am fine with the sticker, if it goes towards more AIS enforcement In Utah. i think that only applies to UT residents, I believe it’s different for out of state boatersIn the email I received if you already registered your bot for the year before today the fee was applied to your normal boat registration. No fee required just the AIS program completion.

Good points. In the version of the email that is posted in Announcements, it contains the language for Utah boaters - and talks about boats registered via Utah DMV. The post at the top of this thread is for out-of-state boaters. I didn't realize until now that there were two different notices sent out.
Be sure to read the one that corresponds to your situation.

Robert,This is so wrong for many reasons.
1. The mussels are already in the Utah portion of the lake. How does this help that situation?
2. They are sending out the notice on the day it becomes law? So everyone that launches on July 1 has to take the course, get the sticker and put it on their boat this morning before they launch? Another case of "you should have known the law"?
3. What about multi-owner houseboats? Does each owner have to fulfill the requirements before their launch or does the sticker, once attained, cover all subsequent owner launchings? How is that fair to single owner boats and the first person to launch on a multi-owner boat. Does the law apply to rental boats? Do renters have to take the course before launching?
4. With regard to decontamination, we have anywhere from 4 to 10 kayaks on our houseboat when we head out. Do each of those kayaks have to undergo inspection(on the upper deck) when we return?
Pleased tell me that I'm all wet(there's one for Rainbowbridge) and have misinterpreted this statute otherwise I am going to have a bad day![]()
Thanks for the info. I will check with the manager of my houseboat(Laketime in Page) to see what my responsibilities are.Robert,
The only real change here is the sticker, and an increase in the fee from $20 to $25. If your boat in the state of Utah the fee was collected (this year) by DMV. If you are out of state you pay it as part of the AIS certification, and the certification course is several years old.
Should not be a big impact
Go in the question and answer section of this notice. It answers several of your questions. As far as the houseboat multiple ownership, it says in the question and answers that only the registered owner has to take the test and register. Kayaks in the question and answers only have to self inspect/dry out. This is so wrong for many reasons.
