Hi all,
Thank you for all the input back in the spring. I finally pulled the trigger on my new boat. I ended up going with a new 2022 Lund 1875 Impact XS from Mattas in Junction.
Here is a pic of the new boat.
I also have a couple Powell questions. The boat was pre-rigged with Humminbird Helix 7's at the bow and console and I was wondering if anyone was running the new Lakemaster Western States VX premium charts at Powell? I had the original Lakemaster Western States charts in my last f.f.'s and was curious if the VX premium was worth the additional cost?
The other question I had is does anyone have a similar setup as far as boat/motor? This one has the 150 ProXS and has a 19P 3 blade stainless prop on it. When I took delivery of the boat, the dealer took me out on a private lake in Junction and on the test run it hit 6,000 rpm with very little fuel and 2 people in it (no additional weight/gear). I wasn't driving so I'm not sure if he had more throttle left or if the throttle range was maxed out (Mercury manual says 6,000 is max rpm for the ProXS). I will run it full of fuel/gear at Rifle this weekend to see if the 19p will work at that elevation. I am planning on a trip to the north end starting Labor Day weekend and will be getting a spare prop anyway but I was thinking that I may need to try a 21p or a 4 blade. Thanks for the input
