Spent the whole beautiful day out on the lake. No wind - what a blessing. We started looking for stripers in Navajo Canyon and got skunked. The only stripers we saw were floating dead ones - about 5 in all. Then we came back to the dam. We remembered what Wayne posted - facing the dam, we fished the right hand side. Should have started there and stayed there all day. Striped bass were holding about 42 feet. We didn't have any anchovies but they really liked pieces of Oscar Mayer beef hot dogs. They probably would have gone for something cheaper.....but that's what we had in the fridge.

we were there one year and someone had been chumming hot dogs. They were full of them. We bought some next trip, but the ones we bought wouldn't sink. we had a lot of hotdogs leftover in the freezer!
Forgot to say - my husband found the presentation that seemed to work the best. He carefully threaded a hotdog piece onto a heavy, flashy jig and used the jig as a weight. Just the rocking of the boat (water skier nearby) caused the lure to move and the jig to flash.
