Up around Bull Frog does anyone use lead core line to pull crank baits ? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Where ,types of place that would be the best to concentrate on.

If you fish in Bull Frog bay you might be able to use lead core line and even some areas around the haystacks and some bays, but for the most part you'll be hung up all the time. Next time you are on the lake, look at the rocks along the shore. That's what is underneath you. It's difficult to react quickly enough with lead core line. Sometimes stripers suspend in open water, then that might work.

I have used some in the back of bullfrog. Only went 5 colors if I remember right. I don’t know that I would try it in May at this level

Not sure you need lead line at that time of year. The walleyes should still be in shallow enough that deep diving plugs that get down 20' will be enough, unless the water is getting unseasonably warm....

I catch quiet a few walleye in the winter and spring between the channel markers near the marina. I use down riggers and I run about 80-100 feet deep off the points. A lot of stripers and a few walleye, normally seven or eight per day. It would be kind of hard to use lead line because of the underwater terrain. My avg size is about 21-22 in for the walleye.
