Just returned from a trip to Powell. We were mainly between mile marker 52 and Escalante. Seen a few boils but they didn't stay up long enough to fish. We seen shad everywhere. The fish we did catch were fat fat fat. Fattest I've seen in a long time. We went to the back of one canyon and found a pool that had thousand of shad swimming in a circle. It was crazy how many shad we seen. We found a few willing fish in the San Jaun back in the bay. Again, no boils but caught several on poppers and they were fat and put up a good fight.
