Looks like Monsoon is in Full Swing over Lake Powell Country

Email just popped up warning everyone on the lake flash flooding was imminent and to take heed of lightening and large hail.

We had an actual thunderstorm roll through Bullfrog yesterday.

We had T-Storms just about every other after noon this year, It was nice.

I guy had his BRAND NEW F-450 struck by lightning in the parking lot during that storm two nights ago. Fried his electrical system. Had to have it towed out of here. Shame. Looked like a nice truck!

Each year is different, I live in a farming community 2 hrs from the lake on the Colorado/UT border. The monsoons start when the first wheat combine enters the first ripe field and ends when the last combine leaves the last field. Most farmers are done with the wheat, but there are a few stragglers. Two or three weeks seems about right.

I was at Lake Mead over the weekend at Temple Bar Marina. We had flash flooding, lightning, and thunder Saturday and Sunday. It made boating challenging.
