Lake Powell Mart (Greenehaven) Remodel

Those of you coming to the South end on 89 via St George/Kanab, be advised Lake Powell Mart (corner of 89 and N Wahweap Dr, Greenehaven) will be closed for the next several months due to remodel.

Demo started early March. No gas or mini mart for awhile but when finished it’s going to be completely new and improved.

Just a heads-up...plan accordingly.

This place will be a Pilot Gas Station.
Just talked to the construction manager today and he is shooting to open in 90 days. Will have fast fill for trucks and motor homes with high canopy and BLUE gas 91 octane alcohol free at one pump. Designed with a restaurant but unknown if it will be implemented.
I told him a chicken place would sell big time for Lone Rockers He said they could do a Church's Chicken maybe.
Let me know what all of you think and I'll pass it along
Man, these guys know how to build stuff, the next day after pouring the concrete, the walls were going up!
It will have an 80 foot tall flagpole out front.
Maybe open July 4th weekend

Love the ethanol free, nice addition.

Hopefully they’ll have the long pump hoses to reach fuel tanks on both sides of boats.

It's going to be an inconvenience for me as that is where I always bought my gas and ice for the next day. I suppose it will be better when completed, but it's going to be difficult for me in the short term!

They are moving quickly All the walls are up and the outside sheathing is done. Interior walls are also done.

He said there would be a restaurant of some kind there. They have 2 others in NV one just over the state line on the west side that was built last year I think. I don't know about a drive thru but I may be able to ask.

There is a pilot truck stop on I 40 just west of Flagstaff and it has a drive thru McDonalds.

I would like to suggest an Arby's since the nearest Arby's is 100 miles away and there has never been one in this area before. We have the Bird House in Page, Safeway and Walmart have whole chickens precooked, and another chicken place would be repetitive. There used to be a KFC in Page and it went out of business over 25 years ago and there's never been another since. I think the ultimate would be an Arby's next door to a Dairy Queen. When you live in Page, Arby's is a delicacy.

I went to ask about the restaurant yesterday but the place was in turmoil- their back hoe had just broken the main water line for a few blocks of Greenehaven. They were kind of busy with that one.

Another Arby’s vote here for sure, that would be sweet!

It‘s a race to see which re-opens first...Lake Powell Mart or Lake Powell. Despite the lake closure, there’s a LOT of progress going on at Greenehaven. Hard to believe the entire store was demolished to rubble just a few weeks ago.
