Outlook dismal for Utah water supply with snowpack at just 62% of normal

A Utah water supply briefing Tuesday delivered grim news amid the state's growing drought conditions, and it is unlikely any coming storms will lift snowpack to even average for this water year.

According to the weather forecast, there are supposed to be several storms blowing thru the next week or 2. Crossing my fingers.

The Upper Green, which contributes a good portion of LP water has gone up from 74-86% of average in the last week. Another bunch of storms are forecast for the next 10 days, lets hope it continues!!!

The lake is dropping about 11 feet per month and if nothing changes it will drop another 27 feet by May 1 when runoff rise should begin. Hopefully the Feds will do some ramp extension during that low. Is there any where where we could put in on May 1 in the north lake?

What was it, two years ago when the outlook was just as bleak, and then the mountains got hammered in late winter/spring? Here is hoping that happens again this year. Fingers crossed.....

Buy yourself a beater aluminum sled you don’t mind dragging over gravel, chuck it in the back of your truck or put er on a trailer you dont care about get yourself a ten horse and drive into blue notch and put that tub in the water .. wear your life jacket ... see ya up there

I used the wrong rate of decline - it is 5 feet per month for a decline of 13 more feet to May 1, Sorry
