Thanks for that. I never heard of any attempt up to now Cool that it settled upright. Also that they got all the fuel off. I would have thought it would have had more silt buildup than what it had in two years.

Bill said he's been going down on knockers for years.......but using the scuba gear at this point has been.....er..... rather cumbersome......as he tends to suck the air out of the tanks............(not useful...in the longrun)

In other news....mcpltret has said he's always tried to assist ANY & ALL knockers.......he said when they.....er......sink......he's there to give .....a hand.......or two.......

Bill said he's been going down on knockers for years.......but using the scuba gear at this point has been.....er..... rather cumbersome......as he tends to suck the air out of the tanks............(not useful...in the longrun)

This (albeit rather adolescent humor) is funner than what's happening on the world stage today.....since we Wordlings pray.......for fish, weather....lake elevation......etc.....may I take a moment to ask you all to put 'world peace 'into your prayers. Already this conflict has gone regional, and if China & Russia, Iran's biggest trading partners get involved.......our Lake elevation will take a real back seat. Will China go after Taiwan while the US is otherwise occupied?

I do pray The Donald is the 7th dimensional chess player folks say he is. That's why he got my vote for him.... 9 times.... in Philly.

I can't understand why the owner, or his insurance company isn't responsible for getting that wreckage out of our fishing and drinking water. It's good to hear that the fuel has been removed but what about the black water holding tank, batteries, engine oil, etc. Not a lawyer, but Just a simple AI search states that under laws like 33 U.S.C. 409 (the Wreck Act) owners are responsible for marking and removing sunken vessels. We have the technology to raise heavy vessels from 200 feet using various methods including inflatable bags. As the water level declines, we are reminded of the many sunken vessels accumulating on the shores of Lake Powell. It's curious why those owners were not responsible for removing their vessels. We don't need that kind of fish habitat.

If NPS doesn’t force the removal of a 23’ bow rider that’s basically 70% on shore, there’s no hope of them doing anything to remove a huge houseboat.

They can’t even keep the channel markers maintained.

And what are the rules about salvaging abandoned boats? Im guessing they would freak about the muscles, but other than that? Kinda sounds like a fun project. There was an aluminum hull work boat perched on a ledge just north of Dangling Rope, guessing it broke loose in a storm some time back. When I looked it over it looked like it would float.
