Hello Everyone,
My name is Larry (aka Joaquin)
Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself as I plan on going to Lake Powell this year.
I'm redoing my 24' pontoon boat just for Powell.
I installed two 40 gallon fuel tanks so that should help.
Replaced the full bimini top with a single 12' top so I can have the top up and still have room to fish.
I'm planning on a few trips this year, I have a couple buddys who want to go and also my wife, but might do some solo trips too.

I've been here reading all I can to learn about the lake, lot's of info to take in.
Looks to be a bunch of great people here and hope to meet some of you at the lake.
btw, I'm from the Phoenix area (Surprise)

Welcome aboard!

If this is your first time on Powell, be sure to stay on top of weather/wind forecasts.

LP an amazing slice of heaven and a fishing paradise.

Have fun and be safe out there.

Welcome Joaquin - I think you are going to find lots of friendly advice and even more fishing and boating information that will be helpful on your upcoming trips to the lake. (I forgot to warn you about Birdsnest. Just be careful around him.):)

Welcome Joaquin. I might as well be one of the first to warn you about the San Juan. Do your research and I think you will see that it is a very dangerous place with poor fishing so it probably would be safest to steer clear of that area, especially in mid-March when our group will be up there surveying all the reasons not to go. Be safe and happy fishing

With 2 40gal. tanks on board it sounds like he will be able to do his surveying of those remote dangerous places, just so long as he didn't install a couple of 150qt coolers to fill with all the fish that aren't there.
But seriously welcome aboard. It sounds like a nice boat to enjoy this wonderful oasis in the desert.
