Iceberg lake

I am planning to make a trip to Iceberg Canyon in October and am wondering if anyone has been up to the lake since August. Sometime before July 27 it went from blue to green on the satellite pics. I am hoping that doesn’t mean it sprung a leak.

My son fished Iceberg yesterday, counted at least 6 houseboats.

Backs of some canyons are really stained right now from the recent storms. Could possibly explain the color change...

That lake is a pretty stable feature up there, and it predates Lake Powell. It's not springing a leak. But the summer heat evaporates it to some extent, and the water tends to heat up, occasionally resulting in a greenish algae-like quality to it by the end of the summer. It refills with the rain, and from any runoff from within its small watershed. I wouldn't worry about it disappearing any time soon...
