How long will the lineup be this coming Friday at Wahweap?

With Antelope Point, Lone Rock and Stateline still closed this weekend I’ll take a stab at over a mile.

Unless of course the Wahweap ramp barricade accidentally gets ‘blown’ down before 7 am...

Bullfrog with no campground or Defiance Lodge rooms is apples and oranges compared to Wahweap, but FWIW Friday at 7AM at Bullfrog the lineup was from the top of the ramp to the store. Maybe a mile?? Less? Anyone feel free to correct me on that distance. Thing is, it went fast- apparently fishermen are not into rigging their boats, making out with their girlfriends, walking in circles around their boats while blocking the ramp (looking at you, wakeboat doofus at Bullfrog). Honestly, probably not more boats than a typical beautiful weather weekend, just all at once. And like I said, it went fast, very efficient (with one exception) all gone in less time than you’d expect. And once on the lake, everyone pretty much disappeared.

The other tough question is how far will you have to walk to park your truck & trailer? Wahweap parking is pretty bad on a regular day when it's busy but I can't imagine what it's going to be like with it being the only ramp open on the south end. They're going to need a shuttle service. :)

I usually try to ask if anyone needs a ride going up I'll stop along the way and ask them.
ARAMARK won't allow and doesn't want to provide rides up and down like Antelope does. They have the lake concession and they won't budge. I know of 2 locals that have sold their boats and won't use the lake anymore because the walk got too tough for them as they got older.
It would be nice if we could put a sign at the top and bottom for a pick up location for a ride share.

Those 2 signs would cost at least 30 dollars...No Way Aramark would do that. But wouldn't it be nice. We just need to keep asking people if they want a ride.

You can call the lodge at Bullfrog for a shuttle ride. Sometimes the wait is longer that the time it would take to walk, with the exception of you are at the Ex. Svs. ramp and need a ride to the NPS campground. Sq
