Hall Creek Canyon entrance Hazard

There is a rock barely out of the water North of the Hall Creek marker bouy. It will be under the surface in the next 2 or 3 days. I reported it to a NPS ranger at Bullfrog. He told me that it is NPS policy not to mark temporary hazards. I called NPS in Page and their Regional Office in Denver. The ranger was right.

Stay alert going into Halls Creek.

I don't expect them to mark all the hazards - I don't think that is realistic.

But stuff like that should be marked. One of the busier parts of the lake. Makes more sense than putting up wakeless markers by Lost Eden....

I've seen homemade buoys marking tree's and rocks before using milk jugs, perhaps a caring boater will mark that rock too.
