I’m not sure 400 HP even qualifies as a “big engine” anymore. Outboards go above 700 HP.

I saw one of these in a boatyard in Connecticut. My friend who works there says it was built for one purpose.
Shuttling folks from the mainland to Block Island(or Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard) as fast as possible
