Fished the Last Chance all week and the wind was a pain a couple of days. My last post about my version of a grand slam was stating 5 but I was corrected as it is really 9. For us it was a houseboat rule of 5 so we could have more fun. Well on Friday I caught 9 species and I think the only one missing was the trout. Have only ever caught one of them a few years ago. So that started the week off pretty exciting. Then on Sunday I landed a 3.44lb large mouth and a 2.2 lb small mouth on ned rigs watermelon color. Missed another very large one as it jumped out of the water and shook it off. Our last day was today and it was a calm and great day on the lake. It started off slow and I missed several getting in the boat that I had on. Caught several walleye but too skinny. After 4pm we started fishing I. The shades area and it did not disappoint. I landed the largest large mouth bass I have caught on Powell weighing 3.88 lbs. The last fish of the day was a 2.44lb. small mouth. Today alone I landed 28 fish. So in total for the week guys I caught 108 fish, remember the Capt. does not fish! Absolutely one of the best fishing weeks here. But the stripe bass were skinny and only a couple were good enough for nice filets. Have fun this week...fish like a girl and try to keep up! Cheers!
