You shed less tears after a while. Personally I bought my boat to use it and have no intention of trading or selling it, that said I try to avoid any rocks and make as soft landing as possible.A lot of really nice boats posted here. Although I am completely amazed how many people will put their nice and very expensive boats right up on the shore. I have been boating over 25 years and have never beached my boat...just can't bring myself to do it! (Rental houseboats are another story...)
We beach our houseboat and used to beach our stern drive boats, but with the inboard it is too risky to me. It makes me want to buy a cheaper stern drive or outboard so we can get back to beaching and hiking. Now it is anchor/swim/hike, which is not my favorite. You shed less tears after a while. I never would with our other boats but don't worry to much with aluminum wouldn't do it rocks but sand doesn't hurt. I've seen people use tires or rubber belting for a cushion.A lot of really nice boats posted here. Really? If you are too afraid of scratching the hull of your boat, you’re too concerned about cosmetics!A lot of really nice boats posted here. I get it. I paid a pretty penny to have the bottom of my Crownline fixed after beaching it. Never did it again with that boat. My Malibu doesn’t get beached either.A lot of really nice boats posted here. Although I am completely amazed how many people will put their nice and very expensive boats right up on the shore. I remember my first boat, the little skeeter I'd rag on my brother if he was docking a little to hard and he would just laugh and say it gives it character and I'd reply no that's depreciation.Really? If you are too afraid of scratching the hull of your boat, you’re too concerned about cosmetics!
