Planning to kayak fish Farley’s Canyon around early May targeting crappie and bluegill. I think I’ve got the crappie figured out but am looking for suggestions on finding some nice sized bluegill. Any help greatly appreciated.TIA!

Go to white canyon and fish around the battle ship on the sunny side and you will do welll tip a marabou jig red and white with a worm fish slow within 2 ft of canyon walls, good luck
Thanks for the reply! Could you elaborate a little about what setup? How deep? Under a bobber? Ect! Thanks again!!

You'll have to portage from the end of Farley to the river(about 100 yards), launch in the river and travel another 100 yards to the head of White, then portage another 20 yards to get into White. As the river begins to flow, this becomes more hazardous. Both Farley and White are individual reservoirs. We've done pretty well on bluegill in Farley Canyon.

I’ll be fishing Farley’s not White! Just curious how you rig your rod for bluegill! Do you present that red and white jig tipped with a piece of worm under a slip bobber or cast and retrieve?
