Farley Canyon - we found the water!

I keep forgetting to post these photos for anybody who might be interested! We camped in Farley Canyon over Memorial Day weekend. It was absolutely gorgeous and we loved every second of it, but sadly had to bail after one night due to our suv having transmission issues. We did go on a hike and eventually found the water! I can see how this would have been a camping paradise back in the day - we had the entire place to ourselves!

"the water!" may be Farley Lake, not Lake Powell based on satellite images. Any signs of fish in it? And you are correct about a great place! It's too bad we have no Lake Powell in this area. I dream of a Full Pool again with water in White Canyon and Farley's but I'm not sure it will ever happen unless they close the spigot at the dam some.

To be honest we weren’t high enough up to see if it connects to the lake, but based on satellite we agree it definitely is its own little lake now! No idea on the fish side either lol sorry to be super unhelpful we weren’t trying to leave super early morning but I was bound and determined to see the water so I insisted we do a little hike until we got there. If we had been able to stay there longer, we would have gotten out our kayak to check the whole thing out. We will definitely be back, I’ll provide a better report at some point later this year!

The stars were amazing and it was so so quiet, we didn’t see another soul the whole time we were there. The vault toilets were actually super clean and well supplied!

Sure was. Easier to get to than Bullfrog. Launch, set up camp across to the west side of the lake in one of the many coves, night fishing in Grand Wash....Paradise!
