Eclipse at Gregory Butte— Big Thanks to Tiff!

I didn’t think I was going to be in the area, but thanks to a mutual friend of mine and Tiff’s, I unexpectedly found myself at Wahweap today and on Tiff’s boat! Next thing you know, we’re at Gregory Butte watching the eclipse!

What a great and unexpected treat! A cold clear morning turned into a great viewing party, a short swim, a few more unexpected adventures, and a full day on the lake. Thank you, Tiff!! It was great to swap stories and insights, and just sit back while you did all the driving…

We're the white speck in the Last Chance photo! We were floating on the boat right at the mouth of Last Chance watching the eclipse. It was a beautiful weekend!

When I heard Tiff was going to have you down on the south end of the lake I was a bit disappointed that we didn't choose to go there instead. We were trying to get our houseboat but someone else beat me to it, so we were already sort of committed to be up north. I like it better there anyway! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Thanks, nzaugg! I’d say you made a pretty good decision staying where you were, since it seemed from your pictures it looked pretty great up near Tapestry Wall. That said, it would have been fun to meet you, but that’ll just have to happen another time…
