Wayne, do you think this happens when two fish hit a lure at the same time, or is it caused by one fish trying to snatch it away from the already hooked fish?

Both events happen in a double hookup. I think most often that two fish hitting the lure at the same time is the main cause. I know when it has happened to me that I felt the initial hookup and not another stronger hit on the retrieve.

That was my goal last trip, it did not happen. Even tried to swim circles at the boat.

I'm actually suprised it doesn't happen more, as often as I see fish chasing the same bait.
