Cruising Lake Powell, Wahweap to Escalante, October

Just sharing my personal blog for anyone that might be interested. We launched at Stateline Aux on October 13th and will be loading back out late on the 19th. No fishing reports, and only entered a few canyons. I was here in April when the lake was about 14' higher, and I've really noticed the difference in water levels and the effect on getting into some of the canyons and change in beaches. And found another uncovered sunk boat, this one in West Canyon. Also, this blog covers our trip out here from Wisconsin, and some issues with trailering long distances. C-Traveler and DeJa La are 25' C-Dory's. You can find my earlier April blog at Find Penguins as well.

This will be my second trip to Lake Powell this year. Rosanne will be with me this time. We'll spend 10 days on the water, and then head down to Goodyear, Arizona, to visit my dad.
