Can boats be trailered on the Halls ferry?

It sounds like the Halls Crossing boat ramp is still usable for about 10 more feet of lake elevation, while Bullfrog is restricted to the narrower Executive Ramp or chancing a dirt launch area beside the main ramp. As ramp traffic gets busier, would using the ferry to access a larger ramp at Halls (assuming it’s larger, I’ve never used it) be a viable option or a stupid idea, or even a possibility?

I have trailered boats on the ferry several times and they do measure and you do pay for by the foot. My 2002 F-450 with the crew cab (4 full size doors) with a 9' bed pulling a 24' Sea Ray cost just under $70.
Driving around? It's 105 miles from the intersection of hwys 95 & 276 (turn off to Bullfrog) to Halls Crossing marina. So from Bullfrog you are looking at almost 150 miles one way.
From Hanksville, driving around is a little over 130 miles one way.
Hope that helps ya a little.
But it sure is a gorgeous drive if you have never done it. ;)

Might be worth it just for a nice drive, especially if the Bullfrog main ramp isn't open by Memorial Day. On the other hand, maybe I'll just go down to watch at the Bullfrog side for entertainment value if the main ramp is still closed 😳.

It would still be cheaper for me (2 door Tacoma pulling an 18 foot boat) to take the ferry than to drive around, if I chose to. Nice to know that would be an option. Although it looks like the main Bullfrog ramp will be usable at 3570, ferry at 3575.Thank you for the great responses!
