Got down Friday afternoon and started looking around the Haystacks where we graphed a lot of fish but could not get them fired up.
Went into Halls Bay to the haystack in the north corner. Hit a good school and got 8 before light made us head back to the Hooligan Too.
Saturday morning we were there early and filled the cooler on Kastmasters spooning. No surface action to speak of. Saturday evening the school was gone. Bullfrog held the same schools and we did get a couple.
Sunday The school in Halls the were gone. We spent a lot of time in Bullfrog north of North bouy field and around dome rock graphing but couldn’t locate anything where we normally do. Sunday afternoon was breezy and rough, so we motored up to Moki. Found none of the normal schools we usually find. None in the main channel in normal spots either.
Monday was back in Halls Bay early. Found them around the Haystack again. The bite lasted until after 11:00 with some boil action. Caught probably a dozen on top water.
Was go home time so we were out of the Bay by noon. Took a young man on his first fishing trip. Don’t know who was more excited him or his father.

Yes fish behavior is much different this year. I really like the strong fight and fat healthy bodies. It's great.
