My fiance got on the water Wednesday afternoon. Our focus is usually on smallmouth and largemouth, with some trolling for striper mixed in. Fished around Bullfrog bay, caught a lot of smaller smallmouth, swimbaits, and tubes.
Thursday we left with intentions of exploring the San Juan. Fished at several stops on way to San Juan, but never made it to San Juan, we didn't see the point. Fish were mainly on main lake points, again, swimbaits and tubes.
Friday we fished north spot hopping from Bullfrog up to MP 110. In the right areas, fish on nearly every cast. In wrong areas, no fish at all. Again, main lake points were our ticket. Lots of small smallmouth, a handful over 3 lbs, and 1/2 dozen LM over 3 pounds.
Saturday fished down lake near the Rincon. Lots of small smallmouth with one LM that was a beast.
Sunday we scooted into Halls after saying I do to my best friend and forever fishing partner. Was tough fishing. Not many bites.
Monday up north to Red Canyon. Water is super stained. Caught a couple dinks, so headed back south. Got down by the restroom and started picking up several fish. Further south and really got back into them again. Stripers a plenty trolling 3.5 mph with a Berkley 7.
Was a good weekend. Got back home and found myself mad that I wasn't still at the lake.
